What will we visit?
Bodega Juanico is located in the Juanico area, about 38km from Montevideo. The establishment is a venture of the Deicas family, offering high-quality wines crafted through innovative, state-of-the-art processes. Their wines are known worldwide as they lead the country's exports with their 'Familia Deicas' and 'Don Pascual' lines.
The tour includes transportation to the winery from the hotel or a designated meeting point and the return trip.
Once at the winery, we will begin the visit with a tour of the vineyards, production plant, and bottling area, guided by a specialized expert who will explain and show us the process of different grape varieties harvested. Among the red wines, we find mainly 'Tannat,' as well as 'Cabernet Sauvignon' and 'Merlot,' among others. Among the whites, there are primarily 'Chardonnay' and 'Sauvignon Blanc.' The approximate duration of the visit is 50 minutes.
The tasting offers two options: option one includes a selection of wines from the 'Familia Deicas' line (Premium Line), while the second option offers a selection from the 'Don Pascual' line. Both options include 5 wines, 4 reds, and 1 white, accompanied by a selection of high-quality cheeses and cold cuts.
The restaurant, led by the renowned Chef Alejandro Romero, offers an extensive menu of gourmet dishes that can be paired with the wines produced at the winery. The menu features a wide variety of meats, fish, pastas, among others.
