What will we visit?
Bouza Winery is located in the area of Melilla, about 15km from Montevideo. This family venture is a must-visit for any wine enthusiast, as it offers not only the opportunity to taste excellent wines but also a chance to connect with peace and nature. Additionally, visitors can explore the Bouza Vinos Garage, where Juan Bouza's classic car collection is displayed. The winery's restaurant boasts a top-class chef who prepares selected dishes that, combined with fine wines and a harmonious environment, create the perfect setting for an unforgettable lunch.
The tour includes transportation to and from the hotel or a convenient meeting point.
Once at the winery, we will begin with a guided tour led by an expert in the field. The guide will explain and show us the process of harvesting various grape varieties such as Albariño, Chardonnay, Merlot, Tempranillo, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Tannat, as well as the winemaking process. The approximate duration of the tour is 50 minutes.
The wine tasting consists of 4 wines—3 reds and 1 white—accompanied by tapas and a selection of premium cheeses and cold cuts. During the tasting, which takes place at Bouza Vinos Garage, you'll also have the opportunity to admire the impressive collection of classic cars.
The à la carte lunch offers a mix of Uruguayan and International dishes with a strong Spanish influence. The first-class chef surprises with dishes that perfectly complement the wines produced by the winery. The restaurant also provides a children's menu.
